The games were created for different purposes, some for solution of financial crisis as the Prince Charles of Monoco did on the 18th century where the roulette games became famous, and others as a source of income to support a newly established government as what the America did on 1776. Most of common reason is for entertainment. During the time where only well off people enjoy the gaming entertainment this were made with touch of class and sophistication, while in ordinary people this was link to unpleasant image of addiction and disease.
As the time pass by this games were adopted, improved according to the era suited. Some the features where added depends on which country this was introduced like the roulette in England is played with Single 0 in 1842 but when this was introduced to America it was modified to Double 00 and was called the American roulette. In the paper cards, this was started as shuffling of paper money in China during 900AD. When these games were carried to other countries like Italy and Spain by the Mameluke Empire which was a believer of Islam adorned these cards with intricate designs. The card makers in Europe recreated these cards by designing according to the royal castling with human characters embedded in it, but without the face of the queen. It was on 1500s where the French get hold on this cards and changed one of the male characters into a female which represent the queen. These cards are the archetype of the 52 cards which is well-known today.
These games where famous not only because it gives entertainment, but it entices the brain to analyze. The challenge that the games give triggers to awaken in every individuals “hunting” desire.
